Turkish Search and Rescue Team in Myanmar

Turkish search and rescue team GEA continues search and rescue operations in Myanmar after the 7.7 and 6.4 magnitude earthquakes hit the country. On the fifth day after the earthquake, the team managed to rescue two individuals from the rubble.

Following the collapse of the Aye Chan Thar Hotel in the capital Naypyidaw, the team started working at the site. After rescuing a 26-year-old hotel staff member, they managed to save another person from the debris within 24 hours.

As of now, it has been reported that 2,886 people lost their lives, 4,639 individuals were injured, and at least 373 people are still missing following the earthquakes that occurred in Myanmar on March 28th.
