After 16 years, Kocaelispor fans continue to experience the excitement of rising to the Super League, with celebrations lasting for days. The fans in Kocaeli took to social media to request the hanging of a giant flag on the Osmangazi Bridge in Izmit Gulf.
The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Tahir Büyükakın, who did not disappoint the fans, responded by hoisting the giant Kocaelispor flag on the bridge after obtaining necessary permissions from the Ministry of Transportation. Sharing the images on his social media account, Mayor Büyükakın stated, “You asked for it, we did it! Osmangazi Bridge is now in Green-Black colors.”
